Software Maintenance on Advanced Emission Model 2.6.2 Completed

April 2025 | Software

After having previously updated the tool to version 2.6.0, GfL has performed further maintenance on the EUROCONTROL’s Advanced Emission Model (AEM), resulting in version 2.6.2. Computational enhancements comprise improved NOX calculations for lean-burning engines according to newest recommendations by ICAO CAEP, the addition of a tuning parameter for fuel consumption in the taxi phase, and improved summation of total particulate emissions. To further prepare AEM for big data applications, the support for the popular Apache Parquet file format has been improved, resulting in faster load times and considerably smaller output files. An option to retain defective input data has been added, which streamlines use cases where AEM is part of more complex toolchains. The installation for compatible Linux servers has been eased by packaging AEM as RPM.

If you require software work for aviation domain-specific and unspecific products in C++, Java, PHP, Python, SQL, etc., we are happy to hear from you.
