The Takeoff and Landing Performance Tool (TLPT) maps the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) defined in the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) or Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM), including possible abnormal and emergency procedures.
It allows the calculation of take-off and landing distances that can be calibrated to individual aircraft types, taking into account relevant flight operational and performance-specific parameters as well as physically active principles. The TLPM is used, for example, in the context of safety assessments focused on available take-off/landing distances (TODA, TORA, ASDA and LDA) and can then be used to calculate the mathematically positive or negative residual distances measured from the standstill of the aircraft in relation to the distances available.
