GfL wins contract for safety analysis at Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport conducts its flight operations under strict environmental policy conditions, also due to its proximity to the German border. Aircraft with higher average tailwind components than usual take off and land in Zurich to ensure that noise and pollutants are distributed as agreed. This situation is to be assessed in terms of both flight operations and organisation, with the involvement of Flughafen Zürich AG, Skyguide and Swiss Safety. GfL won an international participant competition and bidding procedure and was awarded the contract for this challenging project. Results should be available in 2013.
