Implementation of the "rapid exit taxiway C" construction project at Graz Airport

On the occasion of the expansion of the taxiway system planned by Flughafen Graz Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, GfL was commissioned in 2008 to review and evaluate the planned construction measures with regard to flight operational advantages as well as economic and environmental effects (noise and pollutants). SIMMOD was used to simulate the processes at the airport and in the surrounding airspace.
Since the middle of March 2012, the rapid exit taxiway C has been under construction. "With the construction of the new rapid exit taxiway C, we are primarily investing in smoother traffic handling and safety. But the new taxiway will also benefit the environment and our neighbours", says the airport management. Construction is scheduled for completion at the end of May 2012.
