Optimisation of the obstacle identification database at largest German airport

According to EU and EASA regulations, airport operators are responsible for constantly monitoring the obstacle situation in their responsibility. For this purpose, Fraport AG operates an electronic obstacle identification database based on a geoinformation system, which is fed by numerous internally and externally generated technical and geodata. Due to increasing complexity, the system and associated processes are to be improved, updated and maintained by GfL by the end of 2020 in order to be able to guarantee continuous obstacle control and EASA conformity in this respect.
