DFS assigns performance optimization of ETAS flight profile analysis tool by means of real-time data

After the successful acceptance of ETAS version 2.1 by Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (DFS) in January 2017 (see News January 2017), DFS now additionally assigned a performance optimization of ETAS. Therefore, real-time data for in total five aircraft types (inter alia Airbus A319, Boeing 737 and Boeing 777) gathered from flight data recorders were provided by DFS in order to optimize the performance of specific functionalities. The general aim is to enhance the computation results’ fidelity concerning fuel consumption as well as pollutant emissions of jet aircraft. First results will be expected in August 2017.
