Building plan for area in the vicinity of Frankfurt airport approved

In 2016 GfL conducted a comprehensive investigation on behalf of Fraport AG concerning a building site located west of Frankfurt airport direct beneath the extended centerline of runway 07L. In this framework GfL carried out an expertise focusing on the technical analysis and assessment of the subjects obstacle situation, external risks and hazards caused by wake vortices. Core topic was providing the evidence of safe flight operations despite the future construction of buildings within this area, especially taking into account the obstacle free zones according to EASA. On this basis, the building plan was recently approved by the competent municipal authority. Thus, GfL provided an important contribution bringing this task to a successful result and leading to the customer’s full satisfaction.
