The MIL basically follows the statements and recommendations set out in the report: The study recommends as a central finding the upgrading of a further airport close to the city, such as Strausberg or Schönhagen, for flight operations according to instrument flight rules for the GA/BA. The MIL also follows this recommendation. With an approval procedure for instrument flight operations at the Schönhagen airfield already nearing completion, the airfield operator operating there is currently creating the necessary framework conditions.
