Safety Assessment on parallel flight operations at Freiburg Airfield

At Freiburg airfield, the minimum distances between the paved runway and the planned grass runway as well as the parallel taxiway do not comply with the guidelines according to Nachrichten für Luftfahrer (DFS NfL), ICAO and EASA. GfL deals with the safety assessment of this constellation on behalf of the airport company. The aim of the study is to determine whether parallel flight operations can still be conducted safely. The focus is in particular on glider operations, which have to be reorganized due to the new stadium construction close to the airfield
