Risk analysis on helicopter flight operations at the University Hospital Zurich

The University Hospital Zurich (USZ) has two rooftop helipads, which may only be approached under visual flight rules (VFR). However, the helipads do not meet all requirements according to EASA/ICAO guidelines (especially obstacle situation). The competent authority has now ordered the provision of a risk analysis to determine and evaluate both internal and external risks of helicopter flight operations. First results of the status quo and hazard analysis are expected in July 2020.
