GfL’s software ETAS (Enhanced Trajectory Analysis Tool) allows the precise calculation of fuel consumption for various jet and turboprop aircraft as well as pollutant emissions (e.g. COX, NOX, soot etc.) relying on radar data recorded aircraft trajectories. ETAS has become operational at Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (DFS) headquarter premises in 2016. It hosts the system for actually five German airline users which cooperate as “Optimized Flying Working Group”. The group has now taken the decision to order the ETAS 2019 System Upgrade, allowing for even higher accuracy in fuel flow estimation for several aircraft-engine-type combinations. The Upgrade will become productive in summer 2019.
