GfL conducts flight performance calculations for new Airbus aircrafts at special-purpose airport of Hamburg-Finkenwerder on behalf of Airbus Operations GmbH

Airbus Operations GmbH assigned GfL to conduct flight performance calculations and the determination of required takeoff and landing distances by applying certified simulation and computation software Highlight and challenge at the same time is that these calculations are conducted for new and not yet regularly operated Airbus aircraft types (inter alia Airbus A380plus and A350-1000)! Thus, potential aircraft mass restrictions resp. adjusted available distances at the airport resulting from the performance data of these new types of aircraft will be derived. Besides, an assessment of infrastructural design criteria of the runway concerning EASA/ICAO is conducted taking into account necessary modifications of the movement area based on performance calculations.
