GfL finalises analysis of the Überlingen mid-air collision

For the past 3 years GfL has investigated the mid-air collision near Überlingen as an official expert in the civil action of Bashkortostan (Bashkirian Airlines) against the Federal Republic of Germany. This included analysis of the flight data and cockpit voice recorders, fast time and real time simulations with Aeroflot, Moscow, as well as various analytic calculations. Some parts of the investigation have been performed with the support of German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation (BFU) in Braunschweig. The lawsuit has been resolved mutually by both opposing parties. The investigation enabled a unique state of knowledge to the course of events of this accident.
