Security certification is effective: Airfield Coburg is allowed to perform IFR operation from March 2012 on

In July 2011 a compromise was achieved under leading contribution of GfL between safety requirements on behalf of BMVBS and the German Air Traffic Control service and Coburg city´s need and the Aeroclub being the operator of Coburg airfield based on an aeronautical study created by the GfL combined with constructional measures: Aircraft can again depart and land under IFR flight operation from March 2012 on.
