GfL supports the tender process for the safety evaluation of independent parallel departures at the future airport Berlin Brandenburg

Due to the long term experiences within the safety evaluation of flight procedures Prof. Fricke was asked by the airport company Berlin Schonefeld in July to professionally support this project which is very interesting for the safety research. Technologies like agent based modeling and simulation and probabilistic approaches for imaging the navigation performance of departing aircraft can be used in a later process. The BER airport will be opened in June 2012, the preparation phase is going until April 2012. This means that the innovative procedures will not be compiled to the opening date.
