Development of an EASA-compliant training programme at Munich Airport

December 2019 | Certification

In the course of the further development of the EASA compliance management system at Munich Airport (see News), GfL has developed an EASA-compliant concept for the aerodrome operator Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) for the implementation of training courses and proficiency checks according to ADR.OR.D.017. The starting point was a detailed analysis of status quo concerning training courses previously conducted in the departments with direct relevance to flight safety (e.g. safety management, traffic management, apron services, area and winter services, etc.). Subsequently, a compliance check was carried out along the relevant EASA specifications with regard to formal training requirements (e.g. time intervals, existence of proficiency checks, etc.) and training content. Finally, based on this, a training and proficiency check programme adapted to the local conditions was developed (including procedures for the coordination, execution and documentation of training courses, determination of time intervals, effectiveness assessment etc.).
