Completed study about the recovery of the IFR operational approval at airfield Coburg

Extensive investigations on behalf of the Aeroclub and Coburg city for retrofitting scenarios of the airfield Coburg at the “Brandenstein” plateau were closed in May 2011 by the GfL. The investigation´s target was: Getting back the recovery of the operational approval for IFR approaches at the place until the planned new construction of an airfield at a different location in Coburg: For the in-house transport of the local industry it is necessary to have a weather independency within the Business aviation. The structural and operational measures that were developed are now introduced into the approval application. The federal office for Aviation in North Bavaria is the official authority for the airfield.
