Safety Performance Indicators for Lufthansa Cargo

Dresden University of Technology and GfL have been supporting the freight carrier Lufthansa Cargo in the development and implementation of performance indicators for evaluating the safety of process analyses within flight operation, maintenance and technology. The lawmaker requires these indicators until 1st January 2012 in a complete and binding manner (First implementing provision of work regulations for aviation equipment, § 3 accident prevention and air safety programme (on OPS 1.035 and 1.037) based on respective ICAP guidelines (ANNEX 6, Part1, cap. 3.3.4 as well as ICAO Doc. 9859) within the scope of the introduction of the Safety Management systems (SMS) into airlines. Many years of experience within the area of implementing safety management systems can be brought in by the GfL (see Airport SMS Software). The project´s start were intercontinental experience flights within the route network of Lufthansa Cargo that were personally accompanied by Prof. Fricke.
