GfL conducts study on the impact of new approach and departure procedures at Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport is currently revising its operational procedures (“Betriebsreglement”). The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the State of Baden-Württemberg as well as representatives of the affected districts were informed by the airport operator Flughafen Zürich AG (FZAG) regarding the upcoming changes in flight procedures. Following this information GfL was tasked to evaluate the impact of the revised eastern airspace concept proposal on Germany. This includes an aircraft noise study and a possible counter proposal for the airspace design. Findings of this study are due in summer 2015.
