All weather operations - Visibility minima at Airbus Helicopter’s heliport Donauwörth reduced

On behalf of Airbus Helicopter – and after two years of close cooperation between the company and both German ATS provider Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (DFS) and GfL – the IFR approach procedures have been revaluated in consequence of newly updated international regulations. Germany’s authority for ATS providers (Bundesaufsichtsamt für Flugsicherung, BAF) approved the visibility minima suggested by GfL, thus reducing the minimum permitted cloud ceiling from 540 ft to 460 ft AGL.
